Problems of the Far East, New and Revised Edition, by the Right Hon. George N. Curzon, M.P. published by Longmans, Green, and Co. 1896, 6" by 8 1/4", 444 pages, with a folding color map of China and Japan, many text illustrations. Known for its dedication: "To those who believe that the British Empire is, under providence, the greatest instrument for good that the world has seen and who hold, with the writer, that its work in the Far East is not yet accomplished." In very good condition except for some spots on the spine. Previous owner's inscription on flyleaf, dated 1897.
