My custom conversions offer the toy soldier collector some unique poses "that you always wanted but were never made"! All my conversion figures are "personally designed and handcrafted by me" with the "natural plastic collector" in mind. IMPORTANT NOTICE-PLEASE READ FINALLY RETIRING! As many of you know I reached retirement age at the beginning of this year however I continued to make and offer for sale my custom conversion poses since that time. One must remember this is a one man operation with each and every conversion pose made one at a time--by hand so it is very labor intensive. No machines or mass production here! After much thought and discussion with my lovely wife I decided to seriously consider "FULL TIME RETIREMENT" from the toy soldier hobby and start reducing my huge personal collection to a more manageable size. Over 20,000 figures is just way too many. Therefore I recently began selling off some of my collection on eBay without mentioning my new "retirement status". Shortly thereafter I thought it was only "fitting and proper" that I let you all know of my retirement intentions. You will notice that many of the ebay auctions for items from my personal collection of conversion poses state "One Of A Kind". That is because I made one of each pose for my collection. Once they are sold-THEY ARE GONE! I will also be discontinuing my website called Battlefield Miniatures as of January 1st, 2013. It will take me some time to sell off this massive collection however if there is something you want, I would suggest you bid on it NOW before it's too late and GONE forever. To my many friends, toy soldier collectors and ebay customers-a BIG THANK YOU for supporting my hobby turned business over the past 13 years. These conversion poses were made from Conte Alamo soft plastic figures in 1/32 scale (AKA 54mm-approx 2 & 1/4"tall). All Crockett/Travis & Bowie poses are a BEIGE soft plastic . You will get four (4) 2 pc sets including the Death of Davy Crockett (This pose took parts from 6 different Conte figures and is based on the ending scene in John Wayne's Alamo movie), Whack'em Davy (my generic version of Davy whacking a Mexican soldier), Kicking and Fighting (2 versions-my own creation of Davy fighting to the very end), a Davy Crockett kneeling firing and finally both "new barehead versions" of Cols Travis and Bowie. (Note-the Travis figure now has a pistol in his right hand). So you are bidding on a great lot of my custom alamo conversion figures.
