For your consideration, Accomack, the Chincoteague Pony! Please wait for the photos to load... He used to be just a little scrappy Mustang, but now, he has a new life, repainted as a dark faintly dappled bay pinto! Painted by Eva Bradley. Description : This little classic sized horse is one of my first customs, I have been a professional artist for more than 28 years now, but I haven't till now worked with customized horses. I cannot claim any NAN cards, or model horse show wins, since I've never entered any of those shows. I'd love for him to be shown, and If you do, Please let me know the results! I realize that condition is a subjective topic and that my idea of mint, PSQ (photo show quality) and LSQ (live show quality) may not be someone else's. With that said, I would like to say I am fairly sure this little guy would do well in any sort of show. Perhaps he'd make a great starter horse! Hemp Lariat is INCLUDED! Now on to the technical details... He was a vintage model classic Mustang Stallion from the mustang family, you know, the little sorrel guy so often seen up for sale. He measures 6 inches tall by 6 and a half inches long. He could be shown as a classic sized pony, or a traditional Miniature Horse. He has carved out ears, seams sanded, lightly carved nostrils, and details carved back into his mane and tail. I added a little bit to his forelock to give it that wild fluff, and then fixed his swayed back. His "Ken Doll" look was fixed and now he's a proper stallion. After sanding, he was primed with Krylon primer, painted fully in Acrylics, then sealed with Krylon Matte, but, for some reason it gave him a more satin finish. His eyes are painted with 6 different colors to give them glassy depth. I didn't glaze them over with gloss because I felt if he was photo showed, the gloss would add too many unwanted glare spots. If you wish to have the eyes glossed, just let me know and I'll do that for you free of charge. Of course he can be a number of different breeds, I just thought with the wild look he has and his proportions, conformation and attitude, he reminded me of a wild Chincoteague/Assateague Pony. His coloring is as realistic as I could manage to try and capture the wild look. His white is not flat, but instead starts as ivory on his legs (and in the mane and tail) and blends up into more of a true white on his back. His bay areas are shaded and dappled with mapping around the edges. His hooves are natural colored with very faint stripes and growth bands. The bottoms have not been carved out, the detail was painted on. Thats w his obvious flaws are in slight scuffs on the very bottom of his hooves. The white speck in the photos on the right side of his muzzle is just dust that fluttered down while I was taking the pictures. I didn't notice it till I'd finished uploading everything. I guarantee it won't be t when you get him. He is signed in very tiny letters on his belly with my name and the year he was painted.
