Scales Custom handles may be made from wood, stabilized wood and rough blocks of recon stone (86% stone, 14% epoxy resins) This is real stone, not imitation stone, handle with care, if this handle is stone, it may break, chip or crack if dropped on a hard surface. Handle with care, t is no guarantee for broken handles. The stone handles are sanded and polished from 80 grit down to 800 grit. As with all hand crafted items, t will be minor variations and minor sanding/polishing imperfections in the blade or handles. That is the nature of handcrafted items which make each piece unique. You may maintain your handles over the years by mechanical buffing with a quality jeweler's rouge.
