Custom handmade fixed blade skinner/hunting knife up for auction. This knifes blade is truly one of a kind- no pre-made junk here -i couldn't duplicate any one i build exactly the same as a copy even if i make them from my own same design templates- they are hand built so each is unique. This knife is a full tang and its steel comes from a 3/16th's inch thick mill saw blade better known as high carbon "L-6" quality tooling steel that holds a wonderful edge against wear and tear. The blades steel has been hardened tempered and annealed and had the spine softened. The blade has been hollow ground sharpened. The blade measures roughly 4 and 1/8th inches long and 1 and 5/16ths inches wide at its widest point. The brass bolster is upswept at the finger guard and is made from 1/4 inch brass. The handles are made from nicely figured dark cocobolo wood. The handles measure roughly 5 inches long and are great for larger hands like my own and overall this knife has a wonderful weighty feel to it to work with, which is how i like to build them, i don't care for flimsy light-weight knives that feel like they will blow away in the wind. The handles as always are set with high strength devcon epoxy and riveted with corby style 5/16th head rivets.That should be all the info needed on the knife. Now a bit of history about myself.
