This is a fabulous piece of cutlery it is a nice ebony wood handled folding hunter custom knife by the now famous maker Ray Johnson, this knife was acquired in the early 1980s , and has an amazing hand forged damascus steel blade on it, made like a fine piece of mehcanical jewelry. This knife is MINT condition, it has on one side of the blade Ray Johnson on both sides of tang. . This knfie has a fine blade that has a waved look to it, MINT PERFECT CONDITION, nice ebony scales. The knife measuresa approx 5 inches closed with an overall lenght of 8..75 inches when opened. Nice lockback with brass liner, this thing is silky smooth.Bolsters appear to be made of nickel silver and have nice file work to them as well as the back spring. Ray Johnson has been making knives for years and some of his early work was done with Gil Hibben at Silver Dollar City. This is truly a must have for any custom knife collector . I understand he charged 100.00 an inch back in the day to make these works of art.
