For your bidding pleasure today is a fine replica of the WLE 1765/ WLE 9965, an EMD SD45/slug set. The SD45 model began life as an undecorated Athearn, Ready to Roll, high nose kit. This engine was painted solid black and given WLE lettering to represent the former Norfolk Western SD45s that WLE owned for a while. A bell was attached to the nose of the model per the prototype and sun visors were added to the cab. The SD45 is a smooth roller, but one thing remains to be done with it. I could not get the fiber optic light cables back into position while the shell was off. Perhaps someone out t with a little more patience can place them correctly. Otherwise, this engine is ready for your layout. As for the slug, this one was picked up second hand from a very skilled modeler. It is non-powered and was painted for the Norfolk Western. The slug was repainted and lettered for the WLE as their 9965, though the WLE never actually owned this one. Both models received a coat of lacquer and have a very nice shine to them. WLE fans, don't let this set pass you by! Now for the formalities. Payment is due within three days of auction ending. Payment is by Paypal only. I use USPS priority mail, flat rate shipping. All sales are final. Items are sold as is, no returns. I will package each item with great care, but we all know that packages are not read more
