Excellent model of the Baggage + RPO cars delivered by the BUDD Company in 1950 for the Southern Pacific's premier Sunset Limited trains #1 and #2. This train ran daily between Los Angeles and New Orleans. (For a time, the western terminal was San Francisco, making this train the longest long distance route in the USA.) The entire train was made up of stainless steel cars built by BUDD.This is a "factory finished" model. These models came with outstanding decals that reproduced the "pinstripe" black outlined Southern Pacific lettering as well as the train's distinctive logo and other lettering. The models also came with full width (non-operating) diaphragms, and as far as I know they were also factory applied. My Sunset Limited cars have never been used. The trucks are free rolling, but I recommend a tiny drop of moly-grease (from Hob-E-Lube or others) in each journal opening which will improve rolling ability, reduce noise, and reduce wear.If there are any "spots" in the photos, rest assured they are the fault of my camera and are not on the model.All parts are included.Shipping will be insured Priority Mail with a signature required.
