Cypraea caurica (Linne, 1758), Set of 6 cowries, Left: 35+ mm, collected off PaPua , New Guinea . Second Left: 34+ mm, collected in Andaman Sea , Western Thailand . Third Left: 33+ mm, Third Right: 30+ mm, collected at 2 meter depth under coral slab on the reef while snorkeling off Pago Pago , American Samoa , 1975. Second Right: 33+ mm, collected off the Philippines . Right: 31+ mm, collected at 5 feet depth under corals in Bolineo Bay , off Luzon , Philippines , 1970. (3496P) From the private collection of the late Roe Davenport, noted Texas Gulf Coast shell collector. Look for other shells from this collection. Over 7,000 shells auctioned.
