ULTRA RARE COLD WAR VINTAGE CZECH CIVIL DEFENCE ISSUE HR2 HAND-CRANKED AIR RAID SIREN GOOD USED CONDITION - FULL WORKING ORDER For sale here at a very reasonable buy-it-now price with best-offer option is a VERY RARE genuine late Cold War era Czechoslovakian Civil Defence issue HR2 hand-cranked air raid siren, in good fully working used condition. This is a unique item, I very much doubt there is another one in the UK and these are incredibly hard to find back home in Czech Republic, this one came from my friends shop and he didn't really want to part with it so I was lucky to get it and it took a lot of persuasion! Manufactured in 1984 by a state owned industrial company, the siren model number is given as an HR-2, and the communist state product number is 404844, it would have been used by the communist civil defence corps the 'Civilní Obrana' or 'CO' and also probably used in official buildings and factories with civil defence units. The siren is designed to be mounted on a hard surface such as a wall or even in the rear of a vehicle and there are four mounting holes on the base, there is a crank handle which can be removed for storage and transport and the rotors are fully protected by a wire mesh cover to save you chopping the ends of your fingers off!
