Offered for auction is a gorgeous Czech jeweled brass"tower" with six multi-colored intaglio open salts. The legs and top of the holder aredecorated with semi-precious stones that appear to be different colored faceted garnets and mother of pearl. The intaglio glass salts are in a goddess, cherub and dove pattern, with two in green, two in amber and two in amethyst. Several salts in holders in this genre can be seen in plates 274-285 of "The Open Salt Compendium" by Jzyk & Robertson. The salts measures 2-5/8" by 1-3/8", stand 1/2" high and are in excellent condition with maybe a nibble or two in the rim. (If you'd like more, I have four more green, one more amber and two more amethyst. They range from excellent to poor, but all have at least on good display side. I'd be happy to include them at no extra charge.) The holder stands 5-3/5" tall at the handle and is in excellent condition with all stones intact. Payment by PayPal is due within 3 days of auction end. Package will be shipped via USPS first class mail with delivery confirmation included for US purchases. Please visit my other auctions! I would be happy to combine shipping for multiple purchases. I cleaned the underside of the foot of the tower, and looked at the mark under a loupe. Instead of "Made in Czech" as I thought it read, it's actually "Made in Austria".
