Czech Observer Badge Stickpin, Gold Washed Miniature Pre-September 1945 Miniature Czechoslovakian Observer's Badge, Stickpin Type Die-struck jeweler quality red gold washed metal miniature Observer's Badge stickpin. Design depicts the Czech lion on a square and diamond over a winged sword and wreath. Sword measures 22mm top to bottom. Wings measure 29mm across. Wreath measures 18.5mm across. Smooth reverse is not hallmarked. Badge mounts by means of a heavily silver-soldered 35mm German silver (nickel silver) pin. Approximately 50% of the red gold wash remains. Balance appears to be brass or brass alloy. This badge was acquired from the estate of a veteran pilot and is absolutely guaranteed to be of original pre-war or wartime manufacture. Very fine.
