We have a supply of unissued Czech VZ-58 bayonets and scabbards available. These are the third pattern bayonets that appeared in 1968 with the extension of the tang at the pommel end. Unlike the majority of bayonets, which are drop forged, the VZ-58 is cast using the lost wax process. The plain saddle leather scabbard is constructed with white stitching and metal rivits with a retaining strap and stud clusure and with a reinforced tip. The overall length of the bayonet is 285mm and the blade length is 175mm. Typical Czech markings on the reverse tip of the scabbard (such as the crossed swords ordnance mark) with various dates (most in the 1970's). We do NOT guarantee any date but we will ship the best piece available at the time of purchase. The grips are a pressed material similar to bakelite with a reddish cast. The bayonets have serial numbers and they have not been sharpened. Both the bayonets and scabbards may show light storage wear and scuffing. The price is for ONE bayonet and scabbard.
