Description of the item: Introduction: Originated from the European and Chinese style, the Duke "Bright Pearl in the Dark Green Sea" FP is always an attractive pen and amazing craftwork. The name is adopted from a Chinese idiom; bright pearl in the sea symbolizes the forever brightness and always preciousness. Barrel and Cap: made from high quality Italian resin. The top gold ring of cap and gold clip, the bottom gold ring of cap, the two gold rings of barrel and the gold ring of the nib section are all make from 24K gold. The cap and barrel are embedded with total 8 sets (one tiny oval and one bigger rocket shape) of natural abalone shell inner thin shinny layers. As the instruction says, the technician uses special tools and magnifier to take the shinny thin shell layers out and process, then embed the layers of the shell into the barrel and cap. Each shell layer has unique shinny colorful pattern. The shape of the shell layers matches the whole eclipse shape of the pen. Big gold cap ring is engraved with Duke Germany GmbH 14K G Pen. "Duke 200" is engraved in the gold clip (this model was introduced in 2000, to celebrate millennium).
