This looks like the 1st Edition in soft cover with a full Catholic Imprimatur in the same year as the copyright date. Miniature sized 5 1/8 by 3 1/2" only, decorative dark red soft cover with gilded title in Gothic letters and wheat sheaf design on the front and gilt title also on the spine, 439 pages including Outline of Contents in the back. This is an excellent pre-Vatican II handbook of Christian Spirituality, divided into 3 sections: Way of Purification, Way of Imitation and Way of Union, with reflective thoughts and prayers at the ends of each entry.
