You are bidding on a DALE EARNHARDT SR 1997 COLLECTORS SERIES BOWLING BALL. It has the #3 and his signature etched into the side of the ball. This ball weighs around 14 LBS. It has never been used and has never been drilled. I have kept it on a 6 inch stand below my NASCAR Car curio cabinet but I never chose to use it. The ball was given to me in 2002 by a fellow bowler who knew I was a NASCAR Fan and a very huge fan of Dale Earnhardt. It broke my heart when he died at Daytona in 2001. My biggest regret was that I never got to see him race live. I hope and pray that another Dale Earnhardt Sr. Fan can keep this ball the way it is and enjoy it. I do have the original box somewhere in my home and will look for it and try to send it in that to whoever wins this auction.We need to sell all our sports memorabilia and HO and Lionel train cars and accessories as I have been out of work since being laid off from my senior accountant job on 1/16/2015. I have sent out over 1,200 resumes and registered with 15-20 temp agency and staffing firms and still have not been able to be hired or find a job. This is our only way of making any money as my unemployment funds have ended, we are several months behind on our mortgage and other bills need to be paid.
