Dale Tiffany Stained Glass "Boehme" Lamp from the Antiques Road Show Collection. Comes with certificate of authenticity. The Boehme Family of lighting takes its inspiration from a Galle lamp with beautiful silver mounts c. 1890. It has a double overlaid and etched glass shade and base. The outstretched "silver" arms were the foundation for this inspiration. The shade is stained glass, the base is wrought iron. It is new and excellent quality. This Beautiful lamp by Dale Tiffany measures 28"h x 9"w and takes 1 - 100 watt med base bulbs. ABOUT DALE TIFFANY: About a century ago, Louis Comfort Tiffany (1843-1933) created a colorful shade for the new light source invented earlier by his friend, Thomas Edison. Tiffany developed and patented an "opalescent glass" for his shades which beautifully turned the reflected rays into art. Two decades ago, Dale followed his tradition and began to reproduce stained glass lamps using the same copper foil technique as the original.Today, Dale has expanded into the world's largest manufacturer of quality Tiffany's lamps.
