6 DALKEITH POSTCARDS / Set 17 / Great North of Scotland Railway: Royal Route to the Highlands/ No.97-102 Mint On offer here is a Rare FIRST Series Set of SIX Dalkeith Railway Postcards. All the postcards are a standard size of 5.5 x 3.5 inches (140mm x 90mm) and LIMITED EDITION (to 1,900 or "less than 2,000" sets). None of these cards will ever be reprinted and none are reproductions of previously printed cards. Each set of 6 cards was supplied in a specially designed colourful envelope, which has protected the cards from wear and tear. BACKGROUND INFO: In the 1970s and early 1980s, the late Frank Burridge created his "Railway Series" of Postcards (103 Sets / 619 Cards). The cards were either his own design or reproduced from original railway posters from his extensive collection. The postcards were published by The Dalkeith Publishing Company, and were originally sold at Burridge's Big Four Railway Museum in Bournemouth up until 1990. Many other sets are available in our eBay Shop. The Postcards will be securely packed for shipping (Inside a Sturdy Board-Backed Envelope). UK First Class Postage and Packing is 85p.
