DALLMEYER 8.5in (215mm) f4.5 Popular Enlarging Anastigmat lens with Iris Diaphragm . British-made lenses have an excellent reputation, and Dallmeyer is a well renowned for such lenses. This black finish brass lens covers up to 10x8in formats and has apertures from f4.5 to f32 set in an iris diaphragm. It has a front glass diameter of 50mm and rear of 45mm; rear flange mounting is approximately 6 5mm (flange not included). The lens is in generally good condition, with signs of light/normal wear and ageing. There are some light brassing and a few small dings on side of barrel, but no major marks or dents - it remains nice and clean. Optically the glass is clean with the exception of some slight dry residue patches on rear glass, but not very visible – free of scratches and clouding. The iris blades operate smoothly and evenly across the range – some slight ageing marks on blades, but this has no affect on lens. Serial No 297163.
