is a game that explores the mind-numbing sameness of daily existence in MODERN URBAN AMERICA." This is "BOREDOM - The Dismal Anti-Game for 1 to 3 players" created by Daniel Clowes, the author of Eightball, Dan Pussey, Ghost World, Lloyd Llewellyn and Art School Confidential. I bought this from Scairy Hairy Toys in 1994. The game is packaged in a cardboard folder with black-and-white wraparound covers by Clowes. Inside is an outstanding hand silk-screened 3 color game board drawn by Clowes with a plastic "Action Spinner" attached. T are three typical Clowes character board "Players" with plastic mounts so they stand up. They look similar to art work in Clowes' Eightball. The game itself is a negative, depressing, nihilistic, wild goose chase in which the winner is either the one who gets to blow his own brains out or the one who is left, depending on your point of view. The game is in mint condition. Never used. Pieces are still sealed. It is pure art, but can be played if desired. T are however, a few shelf-wear blemishes/marks on the box itself, but they are minor. The elastic cord is not as tight as when purchased, but is to be expected for its twelve year old existence. "Boredom" is extremely rare. I contacted Flower Frankenstein recently and she said they definitely made no more than 100, and it could have been much less. read more
