Danish Modern Brazilian Rosewood Floating Platform Bed By Kibaek in Queen Size. Condition is "Used".I purchased this Queen size Kibaek bed fromChris at RetroSquad some time ago. I really wanted the King size version butChris did not have one and given how rare these Kibaek beds are, I decided topurchase the queen bed and had it delivered to our house. The bed has not beenassembled yet because our home has been under renovation for some time.SURPRISE -- I got a call from Chris recently and he found a King Kibaek Bed withmatching dressers. As I really wanted a king in the first place, I went aheadand got the King size bed. Now I need to sell the Queen size Kibaek bed as Icannot use two Kibaek Beds (as wonderful as they are). The text below is from his original posting on eBay.------------------------------------------------------------------------------I was almost speechless when I first discovereda Kibaek bed many years ago as they offer an unprecedented level of quality andamazing unique features. Kibaek beds employ the heaviest construction methods Ihave ever seen from any Danish made product. The bed is actually "over built"and I would expect it to last SEVERAL lifetimes. It employs thick heavy boardsand the lower platform sections and upper frame sections are permanentlyconnected making for a heavy rock solid bed. That said, the bed can be fullydisassembled for shipping.While you may not be familiar with Kibaek, itis an exceptional Danish furniture company. I have had a number of beds andchest pieces from Kibaek and all have been of the absolute highest quality withno competition from any other manufacturer. My understanding is that theexpense of manufacturing such high-end furnishings plus the added cost ofshipping to the USA, became so costly that they simply priced themselves out ofthe marketplace and went out of business. Kibaek pieces were very expensivewhen new and they retain a lot of their value today due to the quality andunique features. I have also sold MANY pieces from Dyrlund and Torring(considered by many to be the Best of Danish manufacturing) over the years andcan confidently state that Kibaek is SUPERIOR to either of the other twocompanies in every aspect.This vintage Rosewood bed is an amazing standout piece that will bring you many complements.
