Up for auction is an absolutely RARE, "over the top" piece of vintage furniture that is sure to be a star member of your Mid Century décor and a forever conversation piece. I have come across nothing like this in size and doubt that I ever will again. This looks like it came to life right out of an episode of the retro cartoon The Jetson's. This is like a chair, but large enough to be considered a loveseat or sofa. Usually I don't pose with furniture, but I wanted to capture the size comparison because photos can often disorient the buyer. Ink stamped on bottom 1964. The bun shape seat is a turquoise crocodile textured vintage naugahyde (leather-like / vinyl) that I believe to be original to this piece. The majority of outer material/naugahyde has slightly yellowed from age as pictured, but will most likely clean up with a strong solution. My guess is that the very front, lowest center brighter white piece was replaced. T is one short seam as pictured that needs a hand stitch, but no rips or tears to mention. Overall fantastic condition!! Measures approx.: 5' across (58" actual in diameter), 30" tall at back, 45" seat depth, and 15" floor to seat cushion. Weight approx 90 lbs. before packing.
