This is a gorgeous Dansk solid rosewood ice bucket. It is from the Dansk Rare Woods Collection by Danish designer Jens Quistgaard, produced in the 1970s. The ice bucket is in superb condition (see photos). It has had very light use. Interior is of a black plastic-type material. T is only a narrow separation in the panel on the inset block of bottom (see last photo). The signature is engraved on the bottom raised center block and reads: DANSK DESIGN DENMARK IHQ (see last photo). It is a real piece of art with its beautiful and unusual curvilinear design, put together with great skill and patience. Each of the four corners has about 20 tiny dovetails per inch (see photo, second row, right), which would bring the count to approximately 180 hand-joins per corner, or a total of 720 dovetails -- amazing. The piece is very large, measuring 8 1/2" square by 9" high, and weighing a heavy 7 lbs. 6 oz.A box such as this could be used for anything, not just ice. Keep important, or not so important, objects in it. Spectacular on any piece of furniture in any room -- It won't go unnoticed. I doubt you will never see its like again.Note: T is NO buyer premium added to the purchase price of this piece. Shipping: This may be picked up in Manhattan. Otherwise, because of its weight, the rate will be $18.00 for U.S.P.S. Parcel Post, or $25.50 for U.S. read more
