Dark red gilded and enamelled Venetian glass decanter and 6 glasses This elegant dark red glass decanter has a gilded foot and is gilded from the rim down the neck to where it widens. The gilding continues on panels to the front and back, each decorated with one hand enameled flower. The stopper is also gilded. The decanter is in good condition with no chips or cracks and the gilding is in good condition. However there is some wear to the gilding on the stopper. The decanter is is 29 cm tall and the stopper adds a further 7.5 cm. The glasses each have a gilded foot and gilded rim with a gilded panel at the front decorated with two hand enameled flowers. The glasses have no chips or cracks. One glass has a scratch to the gilding on the foot, otherwise the gilding on the glasses is in good condition. One glass has a slightly mishappen area on the foot as if the circle was flattened while the glass was still molten. This is under the gilding and is clearly a factory fault not subsequent damage. This glass can be seen in the picture at the front on the right. Please note that I only accept payment by Paypal
