Visions in Fantasy - Female Nude Study #3: Spartan Warrior Dark Sword Miniatures Inc. was founded with the single purpose of creating extremely detailed miniatures for both miniature collectors and gamers alike. The miniatures are in the newer 28mm to 30mm scale which has become the industry standard. Dark Sword wanted to do some nudestudies for painters to work on painting the nude female form. In speaking with Tom Meier about this, they felt it best to do something somewhat functional with a story behind it vs. just straight pin-up nudity (which is not a bad thing for a mini mind you!). In addition, we wanted to do different body types vs a skinny super model type body with fake breasts.So this is the third of the three nude studies Tom sculpted up. She is a female Spartan Warrior and an meso body type (meso is a muscular/naturally athletic body). Jen Haley painted her up to flow with the theme Tom started with in terms of her being a female spartan warrior. Sample painted by Jen Haley.Female warrior with spear and shield.
