It is entirely composed of peony-pink silk moire ribbon neatly wound, pinwheel-fashion, around a stiffened circle overlaid with a ring of multi-pastel rosettes interspersed with green noddes, all formed of ombre-shaded silks; the ribbon tie runs loosely through a padded, moire-covered "bracket" applied to the back side (totally handstitched; I wish I had photographed it).The ronde is edged with a frill of floral patterned ecru lace As the old saying goes, "To the victor belongs the spoils" (even in the matter of such frivolities as this?).
