Daughters of the Revoluntion Member Badge with Massachusetts Top Bar. The reverse of the Badge is engraved 1766 Hannah B. BelcherWith original leather caseThe Daughters of the Revoluntion was a contemporary organization to the Daughters of the American Revoluntion. The former being formed in 1891 and later later in 1890. I current am not aware of when the former became defunked. I'm sure that information appears in Bishop's book on society medals. I know that the Daughters of the Revolution was still around in th eearly 1930's. T was several attempt to get the two societies to merge but the Daughters of the Revolution declined. Not the catch is bent slightly in towards the hing and thus it cannot accept the pin and lot it in place. Hannah was born ca. 1852 in Massachusetts according to the 1900 Census and her husband was Henry A. Belcher and his occupation was listed as department store. They were living without children in the househol in 1900 in Randolph, Mass. In 1880 they weer living with Henry's parents and had no children at that time as well.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Buyer pays $5.00 Shipping & Handling fees, with in the US, plus the actual cost of insurance.
