Daum 5-Horses with glass Bowl and the base is Pate de Verre Blue / Amber. Daum France Marly Gris ribbed glass bowl with pate de verre base having five amber horses galloping out from the center in light blue waves. The base is about 12 1/2" in diameter and about 4 1/2" tall. Overall height is approximately 12 1/2". On top of them is an astounding bowl of clear ribbed glass sides, gently flared. The bowl is 5 1/2" tall and flares out to 10 1/2" at the rim. These are masterfully done. The light plays beautifully through the bowl and the horses, looking slightly different every time the sunlight shines on it through out the day. The horses are about 4 1/2" long. This is a beautiful piece of art work. Since 1878 Daum has been crafting world-renowned beauty in lead crystal using rare and ancient techniques. Daum's perfect mastery of 'pate de verde' has earned it a worldwide reputation for excellence. Signed on the bottom Daum France. There is one horse with a broken leg. I do have the broken piece in hopes that it can be repaired. This is a " Rescue Me " item with plenty of beauty left to give.
