Here for auction is a superb example of the brilliant studio album by DAVID BOWIE titled HUNKY DORY, Catalogue Number SF 8244. This is an original 1971 UK STEREO PRESSING on the ORANGE RCA LABEL, with a lovely matt-finish ROBERT STACE SLEEVE. Complete with the correct 1st issue LYRIC INSERT. [The sleeve is an early issue and does not carry any Main Man credits. The record labels and the lyric insert both credit Titanic Music Ltd. The record labels have a glossy finish. The matrix numbers are APRS 5947 3T and APRS 5948 3T, and "Bobil" and "Rasputin" is etched in the run-outs of Sides 1 and 2 respectively]. The sleeve is in excellent condition. There is some storage wear along the bottom edge, but it is otherwise a lovely example. The vinyl is in very good to excellent condition. Its a mid-weight 126g pressing which retains a lovely deep mirror-like shine and sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Both sides display only a few very light surface marks under bright light. The glossy-finish orange RCA labels are unmarked with only a few short spindle traces each side. Both sides play to a very high standard with barely any discernable deterioration in sound quality and only a minimum of unwanted noise. Overall its a very tidy copy indeed. The lyric insert has some light handling marks but is otherwise in excellent shape. PACKAGING
