Item: A nice little hand colored photograph of a waterfall by David Davidson entitled "The Dragon". S igned and titled on the matte in pencil. Matte is very nice with very little age toning. Frame is really nice and in great condition. This photo is early, perhaps circa 1900-1910. The back of the photo has the Davidson Studio label (platinum photo) label embossed in it. I left a hole in the dust cover so it is visible. I spend a lot of time on my ebay pictures, look them over carefully and ask any questions prior to bidding. Dimensions : Image area is ~2x3inches, frame ~5.5x7.5. Comments : I unframed and cleaned the photograph, and re-framed it with an acid free support and new dust cover. I transfer studio labels, reuse original nails, glass, etc., whenever possible. Refurbishment of these old photos is important, as the acid content of the old materials places the artwork in a constant state of decay. Refurbishment in this way renders these photos like-new and would cost you plenty in a shop. I've been doing it for years and do a clean job.
