Produced by the David Gil studio at Bennington Potters, this shape #1290 plate carries a hand-painted design like pussywillows or abstract leaves and stem. The background glaze is a dark olive green which highlights the use of dark turquoise and pumpkin orange leaves on a black stem. There is a flaw at one side, most likely a firing crack which happened in the manufacturing process as it is not a chip.A good affordable example of the work of David Gil.
