David Gilmour “Soaring” Art Print #26/700 - This new print is available in two sizes. This listing is for the larger 39” x 15 5/8” (99.1 cm x 39.7 cm). Limited edition of 700 This print is also available at a smaller sized 26” x 10 3/8” (66 cm x 26.4 cm). Check my other eBay listing. David Gilmour is best known for his distinctively spacy, atmospheric guitar work with Pink Floyd. Born March 6, 1944, in Cambridge, England, Gilmour was well acquainted with the members of Pink Floyd when they asked him to join their band to supplement the guitar work of the increasingly erratic Syd Barrett. This print was created from my original oil painting, which was another collaboration with René Huemer, a very talented photographer in Vienna, Austria who allowed me use his image as inspiration for a very tight painting. The image was shot on July 27, 2006. Gilmour was on his "On an Island" tour playing at a venue in Upper Austria called "Burg Klam" or Clam Castle. These prints are from the limited edition of 700 of beingoffered. The reproductionoffered here has a large vibrant image area printed on a heavy stock 100lb. dull cover stock. I painted the original, and can't stop listening to "On An Island", and the space that David brings with his soaring guitar. I had a great time painting this while listening to his awesome music.
