December 1968 Vogue with four (4) full page Richard Avedon portraits of The Beatles. The photographs (see all scans) are alternate shots made during sessions Avedon took of John, Paul, George and Ringo for Life Magazine which were also issued as posters (available through Life ) as well as at local retailers. The out-takes (alternate shots) made during that session were only published in this edition of Vogue. The four Beatles pages are in excellent to near mint condition. These are among the most popular images of the Beatles taken during their White Album recording sessions. The magazine is in very bad shape. See the scans, please, it's a poor condition "go to" copy to keep next to the near mint one you paid six hundred bucks for. But remember the four Beatles pages are in perfect shape, somehow surviving the battle. Barbara Streisand's and Catherine Deneuve's eyes are here too. The EYE issue, reporting sir, in terrible battle-weary, fatigued shape, but reporting nonetheless. A very rare and sought after edition of US Vogue, from when they were good.
