"BUILT TO LAST" was the Emerson logo, and last they did. This Emerson model 29646 was manufactured between 1922 and 1925 and is still running strong today - over 80 years later. If SPECIAL is what you are looking for in an antique electric fan restoration, then this is it. They truly don't build them like this anymore. The American made Emerson electric fan is probably the best built electric fan ever. Any broken, damaged or defective parts are repaired or replaced. I maintain an extensive inventory of Emerson parts. This fan features 12 inch Parker brass blades (unique to Emerson), adjustable oscillator, and 3 speeds. The four brass "Parker" blades have been buffed, polished, and clear coated. They have also been strobe-light balanced to provide very smooth operation. The mounted blades are 12" in diameter and really move the air. To properly treat corrosion between the brass blades and steel hub, the blades are removed from the hub, and after refinishing, they are riveted back together with special rivets and tooling. They are now just like they came from the factory. The original embossed Parker stamp is just visible on its blade in the lower left of the picture. Beautiful brass cage badge features the Emerson pyramid and "BUILT TO LAST" logo. It's original finish is still in tact and it has been clear coated for preservation. read more
