Spirit bird flute , Sepik River, Paua New Guinea Flute body is bamboo with carved and painted pattern, decorated head and spirit bird are carved wood with shell eyes for the human figure. T is a woven cane band immediately beneath the carved head. Height is just under 24", bamboo diameter is 1-1/2", man and bird is 6-3/4" high. Not really a musical instrument as much as it is a beautiful sculpture, because the flute has just the one finger hole. It has a very palpable spiritual energy. Will ship worlwide.
