Circa 1910 to 1920 This listing is for a Magnificent Antique Persian Lavar / Ravar / Kerman Oriental Rug / Carpet. In the early side of the Commercial Oriental Market, around 1900 to just before 1920, Enthusiast Rug Merchants devoted their focus in producing superior oriental carpets and rugs with exceptional wools, magnificent designs, and exceptional color palettes, like of which ceased to exist post Circa 1920-1930. Ravar type Kerman carpets were included in this group. Fantastic floral bouquet colors and crisp designs rarely seen anymore. Measuring 36 inches by 61 inches inches overall. Wool pile on cotton warp and weft. The rug is in excellent condition with 99.9% full pile with two very small and unnoticeable spots each smaller than 1 square inches where pile has worn down but still has low pile. A refreshing view in your living environment. hand done salvages on both sides . Original tassels / kilim/cotton ends / fringes remain for the most part on both ends. They are covered in images with a machine made one which was removed when rug was cleaned . It has been recently soak washed by a textile conservator revealing the original lustrous colors only a clean antique rug would display.
