Early Edwardian cut glass bowl / basin with a hallmarked silver rim The glass is nice and thick with ornate multi facet edging. The silver rim is hallmarked for Birmingham 1902, maker's mark is present but indistinct as the hallmarks are rubbed.The bowl measures 10.5 x 7.5 cm's and weighs a healthy 371g. On the silver is engraved F.E.B. and separately the dates 1878 - 1903. Condition is solid and functional - there are no chips or cracks in the glass, normal surface wear for items of this type and age. The silver rim is firmly attached to the glass, no rips or tares, there is one usage ding / crease best shown in photo 8 and the normal surface wear.8 photos show top & bottom and sides of the items and are a good support of the description.
