DECORATIVE COBALT BLUE WITH HANDLE OYSTER PLATE IN LIMOGES STYLE ~ last one! Description : You are looking at a gorgeous porcelain cobalt blue/lusterware with gold trim Oyster Plate in Limoges style. This oyster plate is NEW and was modeled after the vintage oyster plates that were very popular collectible items in 19 th century Victorian homes. (The back of the plate is marked “ Limoges ”) This stunning piece has 5 wells shaped as sea shells, each featuring lusterware surface and a small brown shell around the edge. An elegant raised clam with gold accents in the center of the plate is nicely incorporated into the overall design enhancing the beauty of this piece and also serving as a handle. This plate looks very lavish due to a striking contrast between its white background and deep cobalt blue edges accented with the intricate gold borders. It measures approximately 9.5” in diameter. This truly unique collector’s oyster plate will be a spectacular display item on a hutch, wall or in the curio cabinet and will be a wonderful addition to your porcelain collection. FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSE ONLY! This is a brand new item, but I had to open its box to take a picture and to add more shipping material to secure the plate for shipment.
