A decorative and colourful Persian miniature watercolour depicting polo players which was a treasured ancient tradition there. Housed in an original Khatam-kari frame which has been handcrafted using century old geometric patterns of tiny pieces of wood, bone, copper/metal to create a stunning marquetry effect. The watercolour and ink drawing and the hand draw decorative backing is neither signed nor dated and it doesn't show any signs of wear/or significant ageing. As this is such a decorators gem I have included a reasonable buy it now price. The miniature watercolour is 4 x 8 cms and the dimensions including the frame is 12.5 X 17 cms.
