DEPARTMENT 56 - CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY THE TIMES TOWER 2000 - SPECIAL EDITION GIFT SET - #55510 Includes: "The Times Tower" porcelain lighted building; the "New Year's Kiss" porcelain accessory; 1 small container of confetti; and additional snap-on numbers for most years beyond 2000. (The additional snap-on numbers only included numbers 1-9 and you would need two number 1's for this year. But 2012 works!). All power cords and a small leaflet describing the original New York City Flat Iron building that this landmark edition was based on are also included. When you press the button, the ball and the Happy New Year sign light up and the ball descends. After a brief pause, it goes back up and the lights go off - very neat. This set is complete with all the original pieces that came with it when I purchased it new many years ago. It has been gently used at Christmas time, on and off, over the last 10 years. The original price was $185.00. The building and accessories are in excellent used condition. The styrofoam sleeve (with the top) and the box show some signs of wear and age, but nothing too significant. Comes from my personal collection from a smoke free home. Paypal only.
