While this item is pre-owned, as you can see by the photos, it is in Excellent Condition. The Heritage Village Collection, made specifically for Department 56, includes several lighted village series, each with its own distinctive style. Each piece is handcrafted of porcelain, individually hand painted, and characterized by the matte finish. Each year, pieces are retired from production, which limits the number of pieces and allows for new additions. The Dicken's Village series was inspired by some of Charles Dickens' beloved novels . This precious piece is a perfect addition to your Christmas holiday display or a gift for the Department 56 fan in your life. Excellent condition - in original boxes This Item has been previously displayed, but shows no signs of wear and has no damage whatsoever. This is just part of a very special set that has been collected by a family from our church. They started the collection when their children were young so it was a family gathering to set the entire village up. As you can imagine t were many years of great memories. This also comes from a smoke free home. Well the children have grown up and the family has deceided that it is time for someone else to enjoy this "Town" as much as they did. All proceeds from these auctions are going towards paying for missions trips arround the world next year. Telling others about how great our Lord is has become our main focus. I believe all pieces are still packaged in the original boxes and packing to help insure safe shipping and future storing.
