1985 Department 56 Dicken's Village Cottage #65196. Not an ornament!This is truly a special piece. Early, rare, hard to find, and highly sought after by many enthusiasts!Piece was retired in 1986 and is in excellent condition. Limited Edition 2181 of 2500.This early sleeve reads Dicken's Village Cottage. Later versions were renamed Dicken's Village Mill with same Dept 56 number.Earlier pieces like this one, were early releases to GCC Dealers!Includes original box, sleeve, and light cord. Slight tear on sleeve.Rarity and condition makes this even more valuable and desireable.Investment grade Department 56 Dicken's Village collectable.Believed to be designed by famed Dept 56 artist , Neiland Lund.Mr. Lund and his daughter Barbara Lund, are credited with originating and designing the majority of the Dicken's Village series.Mr. Lund passed away in 2010.
