Up for bid is this beautiful custom made display platform base made for Dept 56 Christmas in the City, Dickens, Snow Village, Season's Bay, New England. Also would be great for Thomas Kinkade lighted houses and accessories! The platform is made of styrofoam, real rocks, resin. I made this platform into two identical sections for easy storage. They look great together or apart, if you don't have a table long enough for both. The platform will hold 10 - 12 buildings and many accessories. I used some of my Halloween collection to show you the scale along with other villages. I drilled holes for the cords to be hidden on the top and middle sections. They drop down into a hidden section beneath the platform - see pictures. T would be no cords hanging over the side. Under the walkway (in both sections) t is a hidden hole for the lamplight battery container. Lamplight cords drive everyone crazy, this will help alot. This battery container is hidden underneath the platform and can be reached easily for turning on and off - but not seen. I designed the boardwalk with wood. It is beautifully stained mahagony - see pictures. The stairs are also made of wood and stained the same color. Each section has 2 sets of stairs. The block wall was hand carved into the styrofoam for a realistic look. The breakfront was all hand done with mini rocks. read more
