You are bidding on Department 56 "Snow Cone Elves," from the Heritage Village Collection, North Pole Series. The original price on this item was $30. The Village D-Tails Secondary Value is $20 - $30. The Item No. is 56375 . It was issued in 1994 and retired in 1997. It is a metal and hand painted porcelain accessory and as such may contain imperfections such as small indentations, rough spots, crazing, or other slight flaws that occur during manufacturing. Unique variations should be expected seeing as this is a hand painted item. This piece features the first "elfette" in North Pole. THIS ITEM WAS PURCHASED AT A CLOSE-OUT SALE OF A GIFT STORE. THIS IS BRAND NEW, NEVER DISPLAYED OR OWNED BY ANY OTHER PERSON. IT HAS BEEN OPENED ONLY FOR INSPECTION AND PICTURE-TAKING FOR THIS AD. This accessory is in "MINT" c ondition, including the original fitted Styrofoam box with cellophane wrappings which may have been removed for photography (see Photograph #2 above). The sleeve/outer box shows signs of storage and/or age (see Photograph #2 above). There are no chips, cracks or repairs to this item. The Department 56 logo and/or sticker is on the mold which guarantees authenticity (see Photograph #3 above). Please review the photographs to make your own assessment of the condition of this item. This piece comes from a smoke-free environment. HISTORY OF THE NORTH POLE SERIES™ As written in Village D-Tails, 2010 Edition: " Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy." "And, so it was with this tiny village introduced in 1990. It consisted of 'Santa's Workshop,' the 'Reindeer Barn,' and the 'Elf Bunkhouse.' Period. These buildings most assuredly would make a wonderful vignette devoted to the jolly ol' man himself. After all, Santa Claus is such an important part of the holiday season for children of all ages."
