An early edition bound in original light brown ribbed cloth with gilt front cover and spine titles. Backstrip retained on a later reback. Spine a bit browned. Some wear to extremities. Ivory endpapers. Missing title page. Half title printed in blue with ownership inscription dated 1844. 'Stave One' to first page of text. Half title, frontispiece, (4), 166 pages + 2 pages ads. 3 further full page colour engravings. Clearly defective, but perhaps useful for spares.
