Dietzgen 3 1/2 X 8TPI protective top cap Dietzgen metal top cap. 3 1/2" diameter by 8 threads per inch (TPI). 3 1/2 X 8TPI is a standard size for surveyor tripods. Not all surveyor tripods are this size, but most American made surveyor tripods are this size. Measure your tripod to make sure this Dietzgen top cap will fit your tripod. Note that it is slightly domed. Made in USA. Used. Shows signs of use......discoloring, denting, scratching. Function unaffected. Tripod not included. I include photos of the tripod just so you can see what a tripod that accepts the top cap looks like. Brands other than Dietzgen also used the same thread size. Measure to be sure you get it right. It is not returnable. In one of my other ads you will see a Dietzgen top cap converted to photographic use. I had about 10 of these. All the others sold. This is the only one I have available......and few others have offered them.
