An early 20th century cast iron Dinah 'long sleeves' mechanical bank by John Harper & Co, of England, and dating to around circa 1911 - 25. The bank is a genuine period example, made of cast iron and operates by placing a coin in her hand & depressing the lever behind her left shoulder, which raises her arm, rolls her eyes, and moves her tongue back, whilst dropping the coin in her mouth. She is cast with DINAH / RD NO 581285 to the lower back, with the registered design number also cast into the interior front. Original paint with some wear and chips. All of the mechanism work perfectly and the bank operates as designed.
