AUCTION OPEN TO MAINLAND UKBIDDERS ONLY – NO OVERSEAS P OSTAGE As a result of clearing out one or t wo of my diecasts that I no longer actually have on display, u p for auction here is an unboxed Dinky Supertoys Fo den Flat Truck, numbered 902 in their vehicle range, produced in the mid to late 1950s . This one hasn't seen the light of day f or some time ( I let all my other Fodens go a long time ago )and the only reason I hung on to thsi one was because it is one of the scarcer colour schemes. This model has a red cab and chassis and green flat back and green hubs. (I didnt use flash in the photographs and I think that the colours in the photo are a fairly good representation of the actual.) I recently compared this model to the orange ,burnt orange and dull orange versions and the red colour here is noticeably different to them, even compared to the cherry red version this is not quite the same colour and in any event the cherry red model is usually found with red hubs not green. Whilst the model has seen some use with obvious visible chipping particularly though not exclusively , to the rear of the cab roof , it does retain a fair percentage of its original paintwork, as per the photographs, the 20mph sign also remains on the rear nearside wheel arch, the hook still in situe and tyres look to be all original if rather worn and read more
