RCS Toy World Welcome to Toy World Auctions.Every Thing you see in our auctions is Original Unless otherwise Stated.Item DescriptionWear Condition Model Make and No: Dinky Toys 2-Tone Jaguar XK120 Coupe # 157Colour: Maroon/bluePaint Loss: Item has the odd minor paint wear to the odd raised edge and there is a small chip to the roof.there is some paint loss to the bottom edges of the casting and to the tinplate base. more pictures can be provided.Bits Missing: NoneTyres and Hubs: Item has Maroon hubs and three tyres are good but one looks to have a tiny flat spot.Casting: GoodExtra ‘ s: NoneAny Other Wear: Item has some light paint loss in places. this model is the rarer 2 tone issue in blue and maroon.there is a tiny mark to the roof which coupe be a chip which is what we have classed it as.there is a small amount of bleeding to the maroon in the common area's which we have seen many times before. the area's are the rear right hand side window screen pillar area just after the door and the area around the front left hand window screen pillar.if you are worried about this we can provide extra pictures if you wish.all the hubs are good.there is some over spray near the grill and head lights again this is quite common.the bonnet looks to have a few minor paint bubbles but hard to see.both axels are straight with only very very minor rusting marks.now for the reason the car is not near mint. the base has a few chips and scratches. some of the scratches are small in area but there are a few of them. the paint loss area's are not rusty but they have a rusty looking colour to them.we can provide extra pictures of this if you wish.one bottom edge of the casting has a small piece which is a bit ruff.the base has dinky toys jaguar 157 stamped on it. this model is a bit mucky and grubby and would greatly benifit from a very careful clean but this item still looks and displays well.Notes: Very nice example. there is little wear to the top side but a bit more wear to the base but the model could look slightly better if cleanned.Overall Model Condition: VERY GOOD ++ TO EXCELLENT ++Original: YESBox Condition:Wear Condition Box type and no: Dinky Toys Jaguar 2-tone 157 BoxWear: The box has some scuffing to the corners and to the odd raised edge.all the flaps are present and attached. one end flap has tears which measure 1mm the inner flaps to the same end have tears which measure 3mm and 2mm and 2.6cm the flap which has a 2.6cm tear to it is hanging on just. the flap only measures 2.9cm. so we recommend not openning it at that end which is the end without a circle around the colour spot.the other end flap has tears which measure 3mm and 1mm in length.the inner flaps to the same end have tears which measure 1mm and 3mm in length.all the flaps have some scuffing to them.one of the things we have to say is that this box has the wrong colour spot. the spot on here is for the yellow and grey not the maroon and blue sadly.some one has written a price mark of 2'6 in pen on both ends. one end flap has a square shaped pen box around the colour spot as well.one end flap has a side which has some scuffing and creasing to the edges.one picture side which has the grey and yellow car has some pen marks coming from the head lights and side lights and from the exhaust area . the top has a cross with a 5 and a 2 on it which you can most likely see in the pictures. the base has a no 1 written in pen over a penciled no 2. there is a slight crease in the base which may be due to the car sitting on it for some time as it also bows inwards slightly.there are two small indentation marks to it from where the car most likely sat. the box has a few scuffs as well as a few small bits of paper missing to the edges of some flaps. the box is very mucky and grubby and it would greatly benifit ... read more
