Welcomefoolish mortals to a most spooktacular offering. In this and my other auctions you will find some of the rarest Haunted Mansion collectibles ever released by Disney. These items come from Happy Haunts events at Walt Disney World, merchandise events were hosted by Disney in 2002, 2003, and 2004 as a celebration of all things Haunted Mansion. Unfortunately, the Happy Haunts events are now among the dearly departed, but the wonderful limited edition merchandise that came from these events still remains and is available here for you to decorate your own mansion, haunted or not. At these events, guests paid up to $2300 to receive some of these great event gifts and have the opportunity to purchase exclusive event merchandise inspired by the spirited sites, sounds, and spooks in Disney’s Haunted Mansion attraction. All of these items are extra parts of my Haunted Mansion holdings. They are in frighteningly perfect condition, removed from their original boxes and packaging only to be photographed for these auctions. With the Happy Haunts events already 3 to 5 years behind us, the opportunity to find items in such excellent and undisplayed condition is disappearing. Bring back all the frightening fun of the Happy Haunts events and the Haunted Mansion to your home with these spooktacular limited edition pieces. One of the incredible gifts given to the top and middle package of the 2004 Happy Haunts event, this gargoyle sculpture is a faithful recreation of the gargoyle candleholder featured in the Stretching Room in the Haunted Mansion at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. This gift was made as a limited edition of just 500 pieces, marked on the bottom with the event logo and limited edition size. Significantly fewer of the pieces were actually released, distributed only one to a guest of the two most expensive Happy Haunts 2004 packages. The spooky gargoyle is finished with a green patina, in a pose that gazes down eerily on unsuspecting guests. The gargoyle’s hands are held upward at either side, creating a unique figural candelabra, complete with metal-lined recesses in both hands that allow this gargoyle to actually hold candles. This wonderful sculpture is perched on a wood-finished base, with secret compartment drawer in the front and a small plaque featuring the 999 Happy Haunts 2004 event logo. It measures 8 inches in height and nearly 9 inches in width from arm to arm. Cast of resin and meticulously hand painted, this piece is heavy. It is the only figural recreation of the Stretching Room gargoyle figure to ever be released by Disney. With only a handful out there, it’s hard to find them at all, much less one in this excellent and undisplayed condition. Included with this sculpture is the Uninvited Guest LE 500 pin featuring Stitch as the gargoyle from the stretching room. As an added bonus, this gargoyle comes with the original black ribbon wrapped taper candles that were given out with the gargoyle at the event, only adding to the originality and excellent condition of this great piece. These gargoyle sculpts are much beloved by Haunted Mansion collectors and materialize on eBay very rarely. Item will come to you in excellent original condition, carefully inspected by a longtime Disneyana collector to ensure the quality of the piece you are receiving.
